SeedInvest and AngelList are First Accredited Platforms Admitted to Angel Capital Association

The Angel Capital Association, the leading professional organization for angel groups in the country, recently admitted AngelList and SeedInvest as its first Accredited Platform members.

This represents a monumental acknowledgement from the leading angel organization in the world.”  said Ryan Feit, CEO of SeedInvest.  “The ACA has recognized that high-quality funding platforms such as SeedInvest make up an undeniable and quickly growing piece of the overall angel investing ecosystem.”

Critical to the admission criteria is a robust and compliant accredited investor verification process and ACA conducts a thorough examination of the this process of each platform before admission.

SeedInvest has developed proprietary technology to streamline this process and is offering angel investors free accredited investor verification services through its SeedInvest AIV program.  An accredited investor that completes the process will receive a letter from SeedInvest’s partner broker dealer certifying as to the investors accredited investor status as well as an electronic accredited investor badge.  This certification is designed to comply with the safe harbors promulgated by the SEC and should readily be accepted by issuer legal counsel.

These investors are free to use their certification letter and badge on other deals or other platforms.   “We believe that streamlining the verification process is critical to the success of our new industry and so we made the decision to provide verification to all accredited investors, not just members of our platform,” said Feit.
