It has been a rough week for all of us at SeedInvest. Between those of us in New Jersey and New York, we were absolutely frozen by Sandy over the past week. On my end, a week without water, electricity, gas or cell service was topped off with the announcement that my building is uninhabitable for two to six months.

But that being said, no matter how painful the past week has been, it’s hard to complain as there are thousands in much worse situations. Folks in Breezy Point and much of Jersey have not only been displaced but have lost their houses and all of their belongings. Even far worse are the horror stories regarding those that lost friends and family during the storm.

On reflection, the SeedInvest team is fortunate for what we have, including an opportunity to change the world of early-stage finance. The storm might have delayed us for a week but it will ultimately make us stronger and even more steadfast in our mission.
