About MyCrowd QA

MyCrowd improves the websites and mobile apps that power the online economy.

The online economy is large:

  1. Apple paid out $30 Billion to mobile app developers.
  2. 3.1 million mobile apps in Apple Store and Google Play.
  3. A hundred million websites drive $1.7 Trillion dollars in revenue.

These apps and websites constantly change because of new versions, updated content and improvements getting launched all the time.

Mistakes can be costly.

Because today’s online consumer is savvy and demands a superior user experience, quality is important.  A single defect can make a customer abandon an app or leave a website.  This is detrimental to businesses.

Keeping the quality of digital products high can help companies avoid this.  MyCrowd QA's goal is to help teams accomplish this.

MyCrowd QA gives development and marketing teams the tools they need to keep up with the speed of innovation.

With an on-demand platform, MyCrowd customers can expand their testing capabilities quickly and cost-effectively.   Our platform provides teams with the ability to quickly and efficiently test their work across websites, landing pages and mobile apps.  This means they can work faster while keeping quality high.

Our on-demand platform is known for its versatility, speed and cost effectiveness. We have 34,000 testers in the US and around the world who compete to find bugs fast.  Our community testers are the secret behind MyCrowd.  They are talented and global, speaking 140 different languages, many with years of professional testing experience.

Quality is maintained through a tester reputation system and through a peer-to-peer review.  The community of testers review, comment and vote on each other's work in order to provide a superior result for customers.

Frequently Asked Questions

Making an Investment in MyCrowd QA
How does investing work?

When you complete your investment on SeedInvest, your money will be transferred to an escrow account where an independent escrow agent will watch over your investment until it is accepted by MyCrowd QA. Once MyCrowd QA accepts your investment, and certain regulatory procedures are completed, your money will be transferred from the escrow account to MyCrowd QA in exchange for your shares. At that point, you will be a proud owner in MyCrowd QA.

What is the difference between preferred equity and a convertible note?

Preferred equity is usually issued to outside investors and carries rights and conditions that are different from that of common stock. For example, preferred equity may include rights that prevent or minimize the effects of dilution or grants special privileges in situations when the company is sold.

A convertible note is a unique form of debt that converts into equity, usually in conjunction with a future financing round. The investor effectively loans money to a startup with the expectation that they will receive equity in the company in the future at a discounted price per share when the company raises its next round of financing.

To learn more about startup investment types check out “How to Choose a Startup Investment” in our academy.

What will I need to complete my investment?

To make an investment, you will need the following information readily available:

  1. Personal information such as your current address and phone number
  2. Employment and employer information
  3. Net worth and income information
  4. Social Security Number or government-issued identification
  5. ABA bank routing number and checking account number (typically found on a personal check or bank statement)

Because MyCrowd QA is offering its securities under Rule 506(c) of Regulation D, your status as an Accredited Investor will also need to be verified and you will be asked to provide documentation supporting your income, net worth, revenue, or net assets or a letter from a qualified advisor such as a Registered Investment Advisor, Registered Broker Dealer, Lawyer, or CPA.

What if I change my mind about investing?

Until a closing occurs, you may cancel your investment at any time, for any reason. You will receive an email when the closing occurs and your shares have been issued. If you have already funded your investment and your funds are in escrow, your funds will be promptly refunded to you upon cancellation. To cancel your investment, please go to your portfolio page.

After My Investment
How can I sell my shares in the future?

Currently there is no market or liquidity for these shares. Right now MyCrowd QA does not plan to list these shares on a national exchange or another secondary market. At some point MyCrowd QA may choose to do so, but until then you should plan to hold your investment for a significant period of time before a “liquidation event” occurs. A “liquidation event” is when MyCrowd QA either lists their shares on an exchange, is acquired, or goes bankrupt.

How do I keep track of this investment?

You can return to SeedInvest at any time to view your portfolio of investments and obtain a summary statement.
