Snapwire leverages its 240,000 photographers in over 180 countries to deliver authentic, original photos to people who launch, price and control their own creative brief. Brands and businesses also pay our photographers for photos up loaded to artist's portfolios. Brands also leverage photographers to generate inspiration, illustrate concepts & tell their brands story as influencers leveraging the photographer's socialgraph.
Getting authentic, custom made photography for brands is fragmented, expensive and hard. The stock photo industry uses mass archives of irrelevant, outdated, pre-shot photos. Searching for the right photo is inefficient and sometimes impossible.
Customers ask photographers to shoot exactly what they are looking for at a price they control. Customers create a photo request, describe what they want, set a price, and a deadline. Customers get royalty-free photos that are authentic, and up to date, affordable, and delivered to straight to them.
How it works:
Photographers receive a photo Request and compete by submitting their best shots. Buyers nominate their favorite photos, and build working relationships with their favorite photographers. Photographers earn points and keep 70% when their photos sell. The extra photos that aren’t purchased are curated into our Marketplace, where photographers earn revenue 50% when their photos sell. We don't share beautiful photography, we sell it.
Our website and mobile app is a tool for photographers to participate. We enable photographers to go from beginner to the pro level as they reach certain goals. Eventually they participate in pre-paid commissioned photo assignments from recognizable brands and clients.
We are a need-based request platform attempting to disrupt a 70-year old industry. This new purchasing behavior has been recognized by large incumbents. For example, we’re very happy to announce our partnership with Getty Images.
Our product has been built to scale. Our DAU over MAU metrics suggests an active user base. Consistently featured on the Itunes App Store (Photo & Video > Discovery & Share) with 5 star ratings. Building a successful company in the stock/commercial photography space relies on a shift to mobile & social. Our metrics prove this shift.
The biggest players in the stock photo space work with us; signed partnership deals with Getty, Adobe, Corbis, and more. Since launch in July 2014, we changed the game for thousands of image buyers worldwide.
